Some helpful tips from bed & breakfast Frankfurt

The most prominent square in Frankfurt is the Römerberg. This is where the city had its origins 1200 years ago and where German kings and emperors were crowned from the middle of the 16th century. From here, you can not only get to Paulskirche and Goethe’s house, but also to the Kleinmarkthalle or Kornmarkt with its dreamy Café Wacker in a matter of minutes.

                                The Museumufer is dotted with parks and gardens that invite you to take a stroll, debate and relax. Eleven of the 20 museums can be found on the right and left banks of the Main. These include the Senckenberg Museum, the Icon Museum, the Arts and Crafts Museum, the Museum of Ethnology, the German Film Museum, the German Architectural Museum, the Museum for Post & Telecommunications, as well as the Städel Museum.

                                Along the Zeil, Germany’s busiest shopping promenade, you have an extensive range of shops, while restaurants, delicatessens, fine bistros and long-established cafés can be found in the ‘Freßgass’.

                                In the evening, you are spoilt for choice by concerts in the Festhalle, Commerzbankstadion or in the Alte Oper, in which everything except opera is performed. Or you can go to the famous variety show ‘Tiger Palast’ with its excellent menu and wine line.

                                Business travellers will save time if they advise us of the reason for their stay straight away. Look for a room close to the exhibition centre, or if you are a construction worker, somewhere to stay close to the building site: we know all the accommodation and are therefore able to send you a suitable offer.
