About us
It began in 1993. After a few trips to foreign countries Stefanie Witt and Susanne Hildebrecht had the idea to offer private accommodations in Hamburg.
From there on, everything developed quickly. The first reservations were made on the kitchen table, soon they had to rent an office. But the need of private rooms did not only exist in Hamburg. Other regions were requested as well. So they decided to expand the b&b service within Germany, basing on a franchise concept. Already in 1996 the first franchise agencies were founded. Until today the b&b organization consists of 13 agencies, offering over 5000 beds in 34 regions.
- b&b service: quick and easy
bed & breakfast primarily works together with long-standing hosts for which accommodation can be booked and confirmed through agencies in 35 regions.
The guest sends a request, receives a binding offer for booking and can confirm the booking within a specified time frame. Thereafter, the address of the host is disclosed. No preparation work, as is standard with databases, is required: The guest does not have to disclose any information to bed & breakfast; neither does he need to wait for confirmation of dates from the hosts. - Traditional service
The bed & breakfast concept has existed for 20 years. The agency owners inspect and categorize each accommodation on site and personally speak to all hosts.
After all, when a customer sends a request, he needs to receive an informative and suitable offer. The accommodation choices are very varied, depending on your taste and budget. Additionally, customers benefit from the agency’s local knowledge. Does a customer have a business appointment in a specific area, or rather some beautiful coffee shops in the vicinity of his accommodation in mind? Once these questions have been clarified, the customer receives a detailed, binding offer for his travel dates. He does not have to enquire at different hosts or study booking schedules – the agency takes care of all the planning. www.bed-and-breakfast.de

bed and breakfast is offered in 35 regions through 13 agencies.
Nationwide, more than 5,000 beds are available. The principle is simple. You visit the website and send a booking request for the accommodation you have in mind. You can also call the responsible agency: www.bed-and-breakfast.de
- Wide range of accommodation offers at bed and breakfast
At b&b, the types of accommodation available are as diverse as our customers.
Accommodation categories are first categorized as: simple - superior- luxury. An own bathroom is available in the superior or luxury categories. Other accommodation features include, for example, a separate entrance, own kitchen for self-catering or breakfast included, non-smoking households or Internet access. The customer can also choose the environment of the location: maybe a quiet and rural environment, or rather a location in the midst of hustle and bustle. It’s all a matter of the traveler’s taste and budget. Some hosts even welcome dogs. www.bed-and-breakfast.de
