It all began in 1993. After spending time abroad, founders Stefanie Witt and Susanne Hildebrecht came up with the idea of ​​offering private accommodation in Hamburg.

Things moved quickly from there; the first bookings were arranged right at the kitchen table, and an office was soon rented. Demand for private rooms extended beyond Hamburg, with inquiries coming in from other regions.

The pair decided to offer their bed & breakfast service nationwide through franchising, and the first franchise agencies came on board in 1996.

To this day, the b&b network—operating through agencies in over 30 regions—arranges private accommodation for every type of guest, ranging from luxury apartments to simple lodgings for tradespeople.
