Karlsruhe - the fan city: We cannot boast the Leaning Tower of Pisa but what we have is - a pyramid. Our landmark is the tomb of the founder of our city, situated right in the centre on the market place. The city founder had the vision of a star and that's how the fan-shaped ground plan, which is unique in the world, emerged. Each of these fan streets provides a view of our castle.

Karlsruhe – the cultural metropolis: Here you find the world's biggest culture factory, the ZKM Centre for Art and Media. Numerous museums, theatres, opera performances, classical ballet and light theatre. The legendary Gratis Open-Air dasfest, cabarets, the Tollhaus, the Europäische Kulturtage festival and the Händelfestspiele. The established German film award Bambi originated in Karlsruhe. A side trip to the over 100-year old Majolika Manufaktur Karlsruhe will delight you. Friends of art nouveau will find one of the best German art nouveau collections in Karlsruhe. The Grötzinger artist colony was founded based on the model of Worpswede.

Karlsruhe – The city of building sites: a highlight for travelling technicians and craftsmen. A tunnel for the tram is being built in our pedestrian zone – a combination solution. A new city district is being built – the “Südoststadt” building project. An investment in the future of our city. Our economically-priced rooms and holiday flats are popular with travelling technicians and colleagues. Construction sites are now offering guided tours which, depending on the project, take you high into the sky or deep into underground tunnels.

Karlsruhe – Baden culinary delights: Indulge in Baden and international cuisine influenced by Black Forest, Alsatian and Palatinate cooking. Enjoy the versatile gastronomy at the Botanical Garden, on the Rhine, on the town's landmark mountain Turmberg, at the Günther Klotz park or sitting on one of the squares with that special flair. Relax in one of the cozy beer gardens or restaurants - e.g. the Schoko restaurant, which is known for its dishes based on the liquid gold: chocolate – and then round off your day in one of the many clubs.

Karlsruhe – the leisure city: Karlsruhe offers numerous oases of calm and rest, parks and green space, water parks and sauna facilities, a zoo and a city garden with a lake and Japanese garden, canoe rides in the Alb area, bicycle rental, outdoor events, cinemas, city tours and walks, and a lot more.

Karlsruhe – the technology region: Karlsruhe is a town of thinkers and researchers. The inventor of the automobile Karl Benz was born here. It was in Karlsruhe where Germany's first email was received in 1984. By merging the elite university and the research centre a major hub for science, research and high tech has emerged: kit

Karlsruhe – the trade fair city: First-rate infrastructure, numerous locations for fairs, exhibitions, events, congresses and seminars.

Have I intrigued you? We offer you accommodations for all purposes. The family holiday flat, rooms for fair visitors with tram links, or a double room with that special flair. We also have good-value accommodations for contractors.

I am looking forward to your visit!
