Some helpful tips from bed & breakfast Fürth

Together with Nuremberg, Fürth is a twin town – both towns, measured from the town centres, are only 7 km apart.

Fürth, also called “Kleeblattstadt” (Four-Leaf Clover Town) was first mentioned in a document in the year 1007. The town is steeped in history, especially in the old town centre. But also today, the town has an important status and carries the title “Wissenschaftsstadt” “Town of Science” due to its excellent research work.

The diverse sights and places of interest also offer something for everyone’s taste. The Fürth Stadtpark (Fürth Town Park), the town theatre and the marketplace are always worth a visit. For centuries, the Gustavstrasse was the most important road in the old town. Today, it is the centre of the pub scene and a very popular meeting place, especially in the evenings.

The Schloss Burgfarnbach (Castle Burgfarnbach) was built from 1830 to 1834 by the Royal Bavarian building inspector Leonhard Schmidtner by order of Count Pückler.

Franconian taverns offer plenty to see and to try. Should you be travelling with children, I would recommend the Playmobil Funpark. In addition to different types of playground that inspire the imagination, the park also offers various attractions over an area spanning 5,000 square metres. The Fürth Erlebnis- und Thermalbad (Fürth Adventure and Thermal Baths), located in the town centre, is the perfect place to enjoy relaxation and wellness.
